My Dream Coming True

In just 10 days I will be jet setting my self towards a dream of mine that I've had since I was 17! A dream to return to Africa and do mission/charity work. That dream is now becoming a reality!
On the 29th July I arrive in London for 10 days to spend some quality time with my man before heading to Kampala, Uganda for an adventure I am both excited and nervous about at the same time.

I will be joining Watoto Child Care Ministry / Watoto Children's Village for 2 weeks as part of their medical global team project. I will be providing Speech-Language Therapy training for Watoto teachers in the Watoto villages in Kampala and the special needs team on feeding problems in children, communication challenges and how to improve communication for the children with varying degrees of special needs. I will also be doing various speech/language/feeding assessments with the children that have been referred to the special needs team.

I've created this blog so that you can follow my adventure and feel apart of the exciting and no doubt, the challenging experiences that I will encounter!
