A little South African attitude and a little Kiwi ingenuity

26 hours later I am classing it up in a lounge in Dubai International Airport. $60 for 4 hours with all the food and drink, space & quiet, I like! :D 21 hours of flying under my belt, its no wonder my legs feel like jelly and I feel like I'm floating. 2 hours to Sydney...9 hours to Bangkok, 5 hours to Dubai...8 hours in transit and then finally, another 7.5 hours to go till London! Phew! Btw, those sleeping pills rock! 7 hours of sleep aint bad in one go.

Arrival into Dubai meant an opportunity find a shower and a bed hopefully. First had to get my bearings so I headed to the info center...there I came across an irritated probably overworked information lady. As I approach the bench, because I'm next in line, a 'gentleman' jumps on ahead of me! I screw my eyes up at him and look dumbfounded (clearly my brain had not registered I had just stepped into a male-dominated culture) however, my South African pride took over ;) and I told him where to go! Behind me! LOL We then had a staring competition, he then shrugged his shoulders like he didnt care. So I did it back, then turned to the woman, who said to the man, "she was here first". So I proceeded to talk to her. He still did not move away. Anyway, I won. That's all that matters - haha.

The obligatory Burger King burger went down like a treat, and it was off to fight the masses for a shower. It was only then that I realised I had not packed in a towel...well lucky for me I had swiped the Emirates blanket from the airplane...yep it served me well as a towel! I will say tho, for a flash airport as this is, the bathrooms are waaaaay under par!

Last leg to go, boarding in 2 hours....That welcome hug from my man can't come soon enough!
